Every now and then I have a lightbulb moment with technology. It is some way that my thinking has changed because of what I do on the computer. One time it was being able to answer ANY question ANY time. Now that is even more true because I have an iPhone. I will be in a casual conversation and someone will say, "I wonder....." and now I know to say, "I can find out" and immediately I can go to the Internet and look it up!Today it was RSS feeds. I have been using them to keep track of the blogs I read for a while. Today I found the blog of a teacher who is doing a Fulbright exchange and teaching in Scotland while her counterpart is teaching in the Pfleugerville, TX. Her blog is really interesting, so I thought I would put it into my RSS feed and check it now and then... Well, shock of all shocks there was NO RSS feed! (or at least my reader said it could not find one!) Earlier I had wanted to comment and noticed that there was no way to comment on it. I thought, "Well, that's too bad it is just a plain old web page, I will forget to ever go back and look at it." A PLAIN OLD WEB PAGE = web 1.0!!

Janice, 4-5 years ago, before I really understood rss, I read the following from a prominent ed/tech blogger, "If you don't have rss, you are dead to me".
I was appalled.
Today I get it and agree with him.
