Observations on traveling and blogging with the ipad

I am really loving traveling wi th the iPad. It has everything-books, games, email, browser, blog, twitter. I have learned that if I find a picture online (that is clearly for using of course) I can just hold my finger over it and it will come up with the choice to copy it or save it. Saving it puts it right into my photos!

However, the downsides are:
1. It takes me longer to type.
2. For some reason I cannot scroll the blogger editing window.
3. I cannot get embed code from YouTube although I can upload to YouTube. I think that must be flash related.
4. I cannot upload photos to blogger-I am guessing that this also has to do with flash. (I can link to a URL of an image, but I don't like to do that because of bandwidth problems it can cause.)
5. I cannot edit the size, color or font of the text in Blogger.

There may be solutions to these things, so if anyone out there knows them both me and the other reader ;-) of this blog would appreciate it.

Using Audio in Projects

Finding Royalty Free audio that kids can use in projects was always a problem for me. The biggest part of it was that it took SO long to actually find what I wanted to use.  Today I am having a small "aha" moment and I thought I would share it. I am working on my project for this summer (http://world-everyday.blogspot.com/) and I need background audio that I can use for some of my short videos. When I am putting them together I don't want to spend frustrating time searching. I just figured out (you all probably already knew this) that I could create a folder with playlists in it in my iTunes and so I have done that and I am just going out and populating it with tunes that I find that are free for use and have creative commons licenses. 

I could not figure out how to download music directly to my ipad, so I am downloading it using my computer and just syncing it. Now I will have all of the music I need all categorized so that I can find what I want. Cool.
